CASIFLUX® F is produced from carefully selected, acicular wollastonite, a naturally occurring calcium silicate mineral. Specialized milling processes are employed to retain the high aspect ratio of these needle-shaped products. The standardised quality of CASIFLUX® F is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001 certified quality management plan. The chemical composition of raw material and product is closely monitored and particle size kept within a narrow variation.

The fine-grained, high aspect ratio, wollastonites are specially developed for applications demanding increased strength, scratch and heat resistance. In plastics, CASIFLUX® is used in automotive applications such as passenger compartment trims, instrument panels, bumpers, air conditioner/heater housings, battery support trays, wheel covers etc. In addition, wollastonite is used as partial replacement for glass fibre in reinforced plastics and resin composite applications.

In paints and coatings, reduced ‘mud cracking' is achieved with CASIFLUX® FG 20. Both the reinforcement and passivating ability of wollastonite are successfully harnessed in formulating anti-corrosion paints, whilst increased crack and chip resistance is achieved in powder coatings.
