DIAMELIA® is produced from carefully selected very white, naturally occurring barite. The standardised quality of DIAMELIA® is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001 certified quality management plan. The chemical composition of raw material and product is closely monitored and particle size kept within a narrow variation.

DIAMELIA® micronized functional fillers are used in a broad range of applications. The most important characteristics are:

• excellent chemical inertness (outdoor and chemical applications)

• low level of impurities, such as transition and heavy metals

• low content of quartz (low abrasiveness, no health issues)

DIAMELIA® 3 and 40/10 have been specially developed for powder coating applications. DIAMELIA® 3 is successfully used as an alternative for fine synthetic Blanc Fixe in high gloss applications. The specially engineered particle size distribution of DIAMELIA® 40/10 makes it an effective matting filler for low thickness powder coatings, where standard barite fillers give higher gloss and need to be additionally combined with matting waxes to achieve the required matting.
