Mediaplast 650 A is a synthetic plasticizer based on polyalkylbenzene (bi- and trialkylated aromatics), which is especially recommended for the use in elastomers with low polarity like NR, IIR, BR, SBR, EP(D)M, etc. The compatibility with rubber compounds containing strong polar elastomers, like nitrile rubber for example is low. Due to the extraordinary compatibility with non-polar compound systems, the relatively low setting point of approx. - 40 °C and the also low volatility, rubber articles with a high aging resistance and very good mechanical properties as well as excellent cold flexibility can be produced.

Although it is of dark color, Mediaplast 650 A has non-staining properties. However tests with light or colored compounds are recommended.

Mediaplast 650 A does not contain any heavy metals or polycyclic ingredients worth mentioning. Therefore it is not considered hazardous. Besides, the product is free of sulfur and its derivate which influences the aging resistance of the produced rubber articles positively.
