GUARD DOG™ UV9 light stabilizer is a derivative of Benzophenone that has exceptionally strong and broad-range of UV absorption properties (UVA315 -400 nm and UVB290 - 314 nm) throughout the UV spectrum. It is a highly efficient UV absorber and is recommended for thermoset plastics and coatings that function as ultraviolet screens for photosensitive substrates. It is stable to heat and light and does not decompose below 200 °C.

Applications: Extremely effective in PS, Rigid and Flexible PVC, Thermoset polyester, PMMA, short, medium and long chain alkyds, phenolic and other solvent based systems. It is applied in dosage between 0.1 - 0.5% in total polymer.
