Hydral® Coat 8 is a high performing, untreated precipitated ultrafine white aluminum hydroxide powder with a median particle size of 0.8 microns and uniform particle size distribution. Hydral Coat 8 is a fully de-agglomerated powder.

Hydral precipitated aluminum hydroxide products provide excellent fire retarding and smoke suppression performance in thermoplastic or cross-linked polymer compounds, such as polyolefins and their co-polymers, rubber and flexible PVC. Hydral products are characterized by high chemical purity, thus suitable for use in the compound applications where excellent electrical properties are needed, such as in cable insulation materials.
