Atmer™ 103 is effective as an anti-fogging additive in LDPE and PVC based agricultural films.
Atmer™ 103 is also an effective processing aid additive for PLA and PLA blends.

Mode of action
As an antifog additive, Atmer™ 103 can be dispersed evenly through the polymer in the melt phase. It migrates to the surface of the polymer where it helps to lower the surface tension and subsequently reduces water droplets allowed to condense on the plastic. The water droplets are then able to spread into a continuous, uniform layer on the fabricated film.
As a processing aid additive in PLA and its blends, Atmer™ 103 exhibits a good internal lubrication effect which improves the flow of the polymers in question during processing and allows more complex or thin-walled articles to be produced.

Guidelines for use
Atmer™ 103 can be incorporated into resin as supplied or via masterbatch / pre-blend. Experience has shown that simple manual mixing prior to processing will normally give an acceptable dispersion though, mechanical means are preferred.
Typical addition levels are 1 - 5%
