Atmer™ 7103
Atmer 7103 is a mixture of Anti-static additives which provide a synergistic effect.
Mode of Action
Atmer 7103 is a combination of additives dispersed in an adsorbent polymer. Using a concentrate allows for better dispersion and overcomes complications encountered when using additives in their normal physical forms. Concentrates are added to the process like other resins, allowing for the additives to migrate to the surface of the polymer where they interact with atmospheric moisture, reducing surface resistivity and allowing dissipation of static charge.
Benefits
- Effective dosing of additives
- Better distribution of additives in base polymer
- Reduction of fuming / smoking in processing
Recommended Polymers
- PE
Guidelines for Use
Atmer 7103 is an internal additive and should be added to the melt phase during processing. Experience has shown that simple manual mixing prior to processing will normally give an acceptable dispersion though, mechanical means are preferred.
Typical addition levels are 0.6 - 1 % in injection molding and sheet extrusion.
