The Chemical Company's (TCC) ChemFlexx 206 plasticizer is an organic, non-hazardous, liquid, phthalate ester that is considered to be a "functional replacement" for linear plasticizers. It is the most widely used general purpose plasticizer for the manufacture of flexible plastics, especially PVC. The organic compound is insoluble in water and has a good stability to heat and ultraviolet light, as well as a broad range of compatibility, and an excellent resistance to hydrolysis.
