Akroform® HMT-80/EPR/P

Akroform® HMT-80/EPR/P is an 80% polymeric dispersion of hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) in EPR binder. HMT is typically used with resorcinol (along with silica) to make rubber-to-fabric adhesion possible. Suggested use is 1.6 phr active HMT, 2.5 phr active resorcinol, and at least 10-15 phr silica to bond rubber formulas to nylon, cotton, and activated polyester. HMT is also an efficient activator/accelerator for sulfenamides and thiazoles. Pelletized form allows easy weigh-up and incorporation as well as protecting workers from HMT skin irritation.
