Akrowax™ 5030

Akrowax™ 5030 is a proprietary blend of microcrystalline wax and a high melt-point paraffin wax. It is designed for maximum protection of rubber articles exposed to high ozone levels at elevated temperatures (as in an ozone test chamber). Akrowax™ 5030 will also produce a very durable wax film that will resist "rub-off" due to its good flexibility. Typical loadings are 2 to 4 phr in a normal application; 4 to 8 phr in highly loaded compounds. Preferred wax for nitrile elastomers.
