Mediaplast EV/F is an effective processing aid for the treatment of very sticky polymers, mainly EVA compounds. EVA types with vinyl acetate content of more than 40 % tend to stick to open mills, internal mixers and even extruder screws. Already a dosage of 2-3 phr Mediaplast EV/F eliminates this stickiness. To avoid the stickiness of rubber compounds containing other polymers, a dosage of only 1.5 phr will be sufficient.

Mediaplast EV/F does not have any influence on peroxide curing systems at a dosage between 2 and 3 phr. Only at a dosage of 5 phr or more, the curing and physical properties are influenced.

Mediaplast EV/F should be added at the beginning of the mixing process in order to avoid that the pure polymer gets in contact with open mills or internal mixers. It is therefore recommended to use the upside-down mixing method.

Mediaplast EV/F is a process aid based on carboxylic amide. The product has a good storage stability and is non-toxic.

Mediaplast EV/F does not influence the flame resistance properties of EVA cable compounds and does not contain any halogens.
