Westco HMMM72% DLD is a hexamethoxymethylenemelamine resin on a precipitated silica carrier. It is used as a crosslinking agent with resorcinol or a novolak resin and as an adhesion promoter in rubber compounds with a variety of substrates. It is recommended as a replace for hexamethylenetetramine due to lower toxicity and less effect on scorch times.
