Polyfil® DLX
Polyfil® DLX is large particle size, delaminated clay that reduces gas/vapor permeability. It is a type of water-washed clay which is processed to have a high aspect ratio. Large, platy particles provide effective barriers to gases and liquids and help improve gas retention properties in rubber inner liners and other applications. In the delamination process, KaMin processes kaolin particles (stacks of platelets, as they are found in nature) into special wet-grinding, attrition mills. The clay stacks are reduced to thin kaolin platelets.
