Hubersorb is a fine, precipitated amorphous calcium silicate powder. The product line consists of a select range of particle sizes and surface areas. Calcium silicate has FDA status listed in CFR 21, section 182.2227, GRAS - Anti-caking Agents. The production of these powders is under constant quality surveying by statistical process and quality controls to insure the highest quality possible. Hubersorb is noted for its high absorbency and anti-caking properties. These products are utilized in the manufacturing dry liquid concentrates. In elastomeric compounds, Hubersorbs find their niche in formulations with high plasticizer content. These fillers help keep batches dry and improve processing, with little or no effect on physical properties.
