Akrochem P-28

P-28 is a modified alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin used in making polychloroprene contact cements that require long open times. P-28 is used in general purpose and heat-activating polychloroprene cements. This product reacts with an active magnesium oxide such as ELASTOMAG 170 in solvent solution forming a salt which greatly increases the heat resistance of the adhesive. It can also be used in formulating adhesives with NBR, SBR, natural and reclaimed rubbers. P-28 is completely compatible with NBR and CR.
