Nyacol® BurnEx™ 30-107
Color pigments loading can often be reduced by 50% when antimony trioxide is replaced by an equal weight of BurnEx 30-107. The brilliance of fluorescent colors is easily maintained and translucency retained. In pastel shades, the use of titanium dioxide as a white pigment together with BurnEx 30-10 for flame retardancy is preferable for reproducible color matching.
BurnEx 30-107 is manufactured by spray-drying colloidal antimony oxide from water dispersion of 0.03 micron particles. The spray-dried powder is composed of agglomerated particles in the range of 10 to 40 microns. BurnEx 30-107 is a free-flowing powder that does not require grinding to eliminate white specks.
