STEPANPOL PS-2002 is an aromatic polyester polyol that promotes adhesion to metal as well as having inherent UV stability thereby finding use in various coatings and adhesives. This polyol can also be added to flexible slabstock polyether foams to increase the mechanical properties, hardness and flame laminated bond strength.

This product can be used in formulating urethane coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers. It can be used in UV/EB curable applications. It can also be used in flexible polyether and polyester slabstock urethane for enhanced production of flame laminating, packaging and reticulated foams. This product exhibits hydrolysis resistance, very good thermal stability, and primary hydroxyl advantage. It may promote adhesion to a variety of metal and plastic substrates. It increases polymer modulus, allowing processing at lower index. It may improve solvent resistance and abrasion resistance.
