Uvasorb® HA700 is a monomeric Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer (HALS). It is particularly effective as light and long term heat stabilizer for coatings. Many years of light stability and high temperature service
conditions can be achieved. HALS activity does not relate to absorption of UV radiation. The tetramethylpiperidinyl group is responsible for the stabilization effect. They function mainly as free radical scavengers especially with peroxy radicals.
Uvasorb® HA700 has an excellent solubility in a wide range of organic solvents with different polarities. HALS can be combined effectively either with UV absorbers. Combination usually improves the light stabilization through synergistic effects.

Uvasorb® HA700 is highly effective with many different kind of binders.
Uvasorb® HA700 may be effective in

• Adhesives

When using Uvasorb® HA700 the following points must be considered:

• Sulfur containing additives such as thioether secondary antioxidants , may reduce the stabilizing activity.

• The presence of pigments may interact with the light stabilization.
