Characteristics:
KALSTAB 50-50 substitutes the additive group that is usually used in rigid PVC compounds. This involves fewer problems of stock and lower risk in weight. It also solves problems related to health and environmental pollution caused by powder lead products. KALSTAB 50-50 is a lead complex stabilizer with a balanced lubrication system and excellent thermal stability. It is highly recommended in extruding pipes in thick walls with double screw machines. A constant flow can be obtained. Consequently, an outstanding performance of wall thickness is achieved. The recommended use proportion is between 2 and 2.3 phr in compounds with a maximum filler up to 10 phr. It should be added hot in a fast mixer. Common precautions in relation to lead- containg products should be taken when handling KALSTAB 50-50. It should be stored in a dry place at room temperature. Once opened, the bag should be kept hermetically closed.
