SAFOAM® RIC is an endothermic (heat absorbing) chemical nucleating and foaming agent for the creation of a foam structure in thermoplastics. It is a free-flowing, non-dusting powder with excellent dispersion. It has special polymeric surfactants, which reduce cell size in direct-gas applications using hydrocarbon gases, CFC, HCFC, CO2, NO2, or any combination of the above. It can be used for the creation of cells in injection molding and in medium-density extrudate. It can be dispersed into liquid foaming agents, color compounds and plastisols.
