Safoam® RPC-20AS is an endothermic (heat absorbing) chemical nucleating and foaming agent for the creation of a foam structure in thermoplastic injection molding and extrusion applications. Safoam® RPC-20AS contains special stabilizers to help prevent discoloration that may stem from phosphate ester flame retardants. It is commonly used in injection molding for the elimination of sink marks, reduction of part warpage, and for weight reduction and faster cycle time.
