DOM is a plasticizer used in several applications of the plastic segment due to its flexibility in PVC and other thermoplastics at low temperatures. It is used for copolimerization reactions with other monomers as Vinyl Acetates, Acrylates and Styrene. It is also used as an intermediate in the manufacture of adhesives, additives and synthetic lubricants as well as in the paper, paints and textile industries
