Excellent stabillity in the dispersion of pigments and extenders is essential for the manufacturing of high quality coatings. Coating properties such as color strength, brightness, gloss, haze and opacity are entirel dependent upon the degree and quality of the dispersion. Unstable pigment dispersions cause defects such as floating, flooding, formation of benard-cells and flocculation etc.. These defects can occur after the production stage, during storage or the film formation process.

Rheoflow DS-376 deflocculate pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments.

They provide equal electrical charge to pigments and thus avoid additionally possible co-flocculation of pigments that are not equally charged.
