MoldX® A110 is a second generation optimized Alumina Trihydrate (ATH) product that gives improved processing viscosities at very high loadings from 250 phr to greater than 350 phr.

MoldX® A110 is a second generation MoldX product. MoldX A110 is an optimized ATH product that gives improved processing viscosities to SMC formulations at very high loadings from 250 phr to greater than 350 phr. The high loading levels allow for the elimination of halogenated resins and other additives typically used to pass conventional flame retardant certification tests such as UL 94VO, UL94 5VA, as well as ASTM E84 Class A ratings. Furthermore the elimination of halogens from SMC formulations result in greatly reduced smoke generation that is necessary to pass UL 723. The unique particle size distribution of MoldX® A110 is responsible for giving the low filled viscosities at high loading levels coupled with excellent processing characteristics.

MoldX® A110 can provide low cost flame retardancy and smoke suppression in a variety of other color sensitive thermoset processes such as: BMC, spray-up and hand lay-up, wet mat molding and epoxy potting.
