Vertex® 60 HST is a fatty acid treated Magnesium Hydroxide (MDH) product.

Vertex® magnesium hydroxide products provide excellent fire retarding and smoke suppression performance for the thermoplastic and elastomeric compounds. At 330°C, they decompose in an endothermic reaction to form water and magnesium.

Vertex 60HST is a surface-treated product with an optimal fatty acid treatment level to provide superior compounding rheology and high-quality powder dispersion into polyolefin resins. Vertex 60HST is suitable for use in making fire-rated thermoplastic compounds where use of high loading levels of the flame retardant is desired.
