Trioctyl trimellitate(TOTM) is a fire-proof, lasting primary plasticizer. It has good properties as a polyester plasticizer and monomer plasticizer and is suitable for PVC, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose and poly(methyl methacrylate) etc. Its electrical property is good and has uses mainly in fire-proof electrical wires and cables.
