PLASBLAK PS6310 black masterbatch is suitable for use in expandable polystyrene (EPS) and can enhance thermal insulation performance by up to 20%. It has been formulated with a specialty carbon that can reduce the thermal conductivity of EPS foams for insulation by absorbing infrared (IR) radiation (see Figure 1). In addition, the carbon black has low surface activity to reduce interference with other additives to deliver more optimal performance of the EPS insulation foam.

PLASBLAK PS6310 masterbatch solution is easy to dilute and homogeneous in the expansion process.

This product is not suitable for use in products that come into contact with food.

Method of Addition:
PLASBLAK PS6310 black masterbatch is designed for ease of dilution and homogeneous mixing and is therefore suitable for direct addition using automatic dosing units or by pre-blending.

Addition Rate:
The amount of masterbatch added depends on the performance requirements of the final application. However, typical addition rates range from 12.5-15% masterbatch.
