Mediaplast TR is a light, non-staining, highly aromatic synthetic plasticizer based on dibenzyltoluen. Due to these attributes it is recommended for the use in polar elastomers like CR, CM/CSM, NBR, HNBR, etc. Mediaplast TR is especially suitable for the production of V-belts and special hoses (hydraulic machinery, cars, etc.) and other highly strained products. One of the very positive effects of rubber compounds containing Mediaplast TR is the fact that they show a high adhesion to other materials, e.g. textiles, therefore the durability of highly strained products can be increased.

Besides, Mediaplast TR is also suitable for the use in polysulfide polymers of the Thiokol type, as the compatibility is extraordinarily good and this plasticizer also leads to an excellent cold flexibility in polysulfide polymers (setting point approx. -30 °C).

Due to the occurring viscosity decrease in Thiokol polymers, large filler quantities can be mixed in and e.g. polysulfide sealants can be made very smooth and easy to handle, which is very advantageous when using the at low outside temperatures.

As dibenzyltoluene has to be labelled, please observe the corresponding regulations/classifications stated in the safety data sheet regarding storage, transport and use of the product.
