Mediaplast 60 is a highly effective chemical peptizer for natural and Isoprene rubber, based on the well-known dibenzamidodiphenyldisulfide (DBD). However, it does contain an activator/catalyst system which enables the product to show superior efficiency in comparison to the products you find on the market today. Already by using small dosages, this effectiveness provides a better peptising effect on the pure polymer, and as well, if carbon black is present during the mastication process. Particularly for polymer/carbon black blends the break-down will take place very quickly and without delay, even when adding only small dosages of the product.

Already at lower temperatures Mediaplast 60 shows remarkable function. The delivery form of the product ensures that Mediaplast 60 can be incorporated without difficulties in very short time and independent on the mixing temperature. Therefor it can be added to the internal mixture, but on the open mill as well.

The use of Mediaplast 60 lowers the mastication costs by reducing time and energy consumption of this process. Mediaplast 60 will have no visible influence on the rubber compound, if used in the recommended dosing range.
