The EMCAplus® line (CAS No. 8042-47-5) is made up of white mineral oils with levels of purity that meet quality standards required by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the National Formulary (NF) and specifications that meet the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) 21 CFR 172.878 and 178.3620(a) requirements.

All products from the EMCAplus® line are colorless (Saybolt +30 Color), odorless and nonfluorescent in the light of day, meetingthe FDA and USP standards for parameters for neutrality and solid paraffin, polynuclear compounds and easily carbonized substances content.

The products in the EMCAplus® line are made with raw materials obtained from fractions of petroleum distillate that undergo a special treatment process, unique in Brazil, that qualifies them as USP white mineral oils of high purity. Due to their predominantly paraffinic nature, they are distributed in a wide range of viscosities. Also due to the low content of volatile hydrocarbons, they meet a variety of formulation and specification requirements in various market segments.

Resins
Resistant to thermal decomposition at polymerization temperatures, EMCAplus® oils do not deposit carbon residue or alter the structure of the polymers. They act as extensors, vehicles for dyeing, softeners, lubricants and plasticizers for polyethylene, polystyrene, rubbers and PVC.

EMCAplus® 350, EMCAplus® 350 N, EMCAplus® 380, EMCAplus® 380 PS and EMCAplus® 550 are used as lubricants and plasticizers for PE, PP, PS and PVC.
