Applications
Protection: Provides static ozone protection through formation of a thin continuous wax layer (bloom) on the surface of the rubber. Microcrystalline structure provides more controlled rate of bloom than straight paraffin structure. Nochek® 4756A Wax Pellets have a narrow MW distribution that provides the best accelerated ozone resistance to products exposed to standard 75°F conditions. The strong protection which it can provide under standard 75°F conditions is effective immediately aftercuring and remains at optimum level after prolonged storage of
vulcanizates.

Synergism: Synergistic with p-phenylene diamine (PPD) antidegradants for maximum static
and dynamic ozone protection.
Staining: Non-staining. Can be used in white compounds.

Cure Effect: No effect.

Typical Uses: Nochek® 4756A Wax Pellets, when used as the sole protectant find wide usage
in nonstaining rubber articles which must have good resistance to cracking when tested under conditions of the standard static, accelerated ozone test. These products include sundries, gloves, sheeting and tubing, hose and automotive floor mats.
For nonstaining rubber products requiring resistance to both static, accelerated ozone exposure and static, outdoor exposure, use of Nochek® 4756A Wax Pellets with Nochek®
4729A Wax Pellets is recommended.
Co-use of Nochek® 4756A Wax Pellets with chemical antiozonants, where permissible, can be highly effective in applications such as windshield wiper blades, passenger or truck tire treads and black sidewalls, camelback, jacketing and insulation for electrical wire and cable.
