CRESS-ALON™ NE2740 is a nano-nylon polymer composite. CP POLYMERS distributes this product independently. The modified nano clay and caprolactam are incorporated by a special polymerization technique so that the original clay of the laminated structure presents a nano-level dispersion state in the nylon 6 composite substrate. With a relatively small amound of clay, these materials feature desirable hardness, strength, thermal stability, and barrier properties, as in the case of traditional additives such as carbon fiber and glass fiber-- however, with good process-ability.
