It is mainly used as antioxidant and metal deactivator for polymer materials. It has both hindered phenol and oxalic amide functional groups in structure, so it has functions of both antioxidant and metal deactivator. Used in polymer materials, it can remarkably reduce oxidative degradation during processing and using of polymers, and inhibit the catalysis of metal ions, so it is a good stabilizer for electrical wire & cable insulted materials, spare parts for car and all kinds of polymer material products, especially for polyolefins e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene etc., also for polyester, polyamide, poly (vinyl acetate), polyurethane, ABS, PVC and so on. It has low volatility, does not color the products, and has a good synergistic effect with thiodipropionates, phosphite esters, hindered amides UV stablizers and other hindered phenolic antioxidants.
