Solasorb™ UV 100F
Mode of action
- Solasorb UV 100F is dispersed evenly through the polymer during extrusion. As a metal oxide, it absorbs and scatters UV light radiation protecting packaging and contents from UV degradation.

Guidelines for use
- Solasorb UV 100F is an internal additive and can be incorporated into resin as supplied or via masterbatch / pre-blend. Experience has shown that simple manual mixing prior to processing will normally give an acceptable dispersion though, mechanical means are preferred.
- Typical addition levels depend on the thickness of the film and the desired UV absorbance. A film of 100 µm thickness requires 0.75% addition of Solasorb UV 100 to reduce UV light transmission at 275 nm by 95%
