Luperox® AFR40 pourable benzoyl peroxide paste is designed for ease of use in pumping and spraying applications that require the short half life given by benzoyl peroxides. As a diacyl peroxide, benzoyl peroxide formulations are used widely in such applications as vinyl monomer polymerization, unsaturated polyester resins, and crosslinking of elastomers. The new generation of liquid thermoplastic, styrene-free resins (Elium® by Arkema) for composites can also be cured using Luperox® AFR40 pourable benzoyl peroxide paste. The traditional benzoyl peroxide reaction promoters, such as dimethyl aniline or other tertiary amines can be used to achieve room-temperature polymerization.
