Portaflame® CA is produced from carefully selected, naturally occurring, hydrated borate mineral.

The standardised quality of Portaflame® CA is guaranteed by means of strict quality control during its production. The chemical composition of raw material and product is closely monitored and particle size kept within a narrow variation.

Portaflame® CA is flame-retardant filler. This product is developed as an alternative for the synthetic zinc borate flame-retardants. The flame-retarding action of Portaflame® CA is based mainly upon its high char forming and glazing/fluxing ability in combination with endothermic decomposition (heat-sink effect).

Acts as synergist to other halogen-free flame and smoke retardants.
