TITAL® 1580 is produced from carefully selected off-white talc, a natural hydrated magnesium silicate. Using our proprietary micronization technology, we process the raw material to various particle size distributions maintaining the high lamellarity and high aspect ratio even in the finest fractions. The standardized quality of TITAL® 1580 is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001 certified quality management plan. The platy form of the particles in combination with low hardness makes it very low in abrasion.

TITAL® 1580 and 1580c are applied in polyolefins as effective fillers for reinforcement. These products are an attractive alternative to TITAL® 1591 in applications where the high brightness of TITAL® 1591 is not required. An example is application as effective filler for reinforcement of polyolefins, such as PP and PA in various automotive applications (dashboard, bumper, door panels).

TITAL® 1580c is a compacted product with higher bulk density that results in higher extrusion throughput and easier powder handling.
