Characteristics & Usages

SONGSORB® 2340 is a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 300~400?

region and has a high degree of photostability - photochemical energy absorbed in the ultraviolet region is dissipated as thermal energy.

Is particularly suitable for application characterized by high surface area, such as films and fibers. Compared to other UVA, SONGSORB® 2340 has a low volatility, which makes it especially suitable for applications involving high temperature processing.

Applications include PET fibers and films, Polycarbonate, POM, Nylon, Polyolefins, TPE, TPO, and coatings.

Can be used in combination with phenolic & phosphite antioxidants, and HALS to optimize performance in outdoor use.

Should be stored in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
