Zeothix is a fine, precipitated amorphous silica powder. The product line consists of a select range of particle sizes and surface areas. Zeothix has FDA status listed in CFR 21; 172.480 Silicone Dioxide and is Kosher certified without any restrictions. The production of these powders is under constant quality surveying by statistical process and quality controls to insure the highest quality possible. Zeothix is generally used has a thickening agent and anti-caking additive. These products are utilized in the manufacturing of adhesives, coatings, plastics and sealants. In rubber and non-rubber automotive body patch compounds, Zeothix is a common additive due to its thixotropic nature. Zeothix is also utilized as a low cost flatting agent in coatings.
