Proaid® AC 18E
PROAID AC 18E is an unsaturated erucamide primarily used as a surface lubricant in rubber articles and as an antiblock/slip agent in polyolefin films (LDPE and PP). In rubber it will bloom at low loadings (1-2 phr in NBR and CR; 3-5 phr in EPDM) from most elastomers creating a low coefficient of friction on the surface of molded goods. Proaid AC 18E will provide a non-oily, non-greasy lubricating film on exposed rubber surfaces. AC 18E is slowest out of EPDM (allow 72 hrs for bloom to form in EPDM). This material also acts as a process aid in all polymers, particularly as a mold release aid.
