The addition of PVC processing aids LP-40 to rigid PVC formulations is a processing aid based on a high molecular weight polymethacrylate resin. LP-40 improves the processability and the performances of PVC formulations.
1)Promotes gelation of PVC, Improves hot-melt strength and visco-elasticity, Stabilizes the microcells generated by blowing agents to achieve the low density and high strength of the foam. Increases the surface quality of PVC products.
2)Better dispersion of additives into PVC, more homogenous melt of PVC, etc. LP-40 has been used in weatherable applications and is widely used in PVC building products.
