EVERNOX-1726 is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant with highly effective
stabilization for organic materials. It protects these materials against thermo-oxidative degradation. EVERNOX-1726 can be applied particularly in adhesives, especially Hot Melt Adhesives (HMA) based on unsaturated polymers such as SBS or SIS, and Solvent Born Adhesives (SBA) of elastomers such as Natural Rubber NR, Chloroprene Rubber CR, SBR, etc., as well as Water Born Adhesives.
EVERNOX-1726 is also suitable for the stabilization of block-copolymers such as that of Polyurethane products like PUR sealants. It effectively protects the substrate against thermo-oxidative degradation. It is non-discoloring, non-staining, low in volatility, resistant to extraction, and stable to light and heat.
EVERNOX-1726 can be used alone at low levels without costabilizers to provide both processing and long-terms heat aging stability. If needed, it also be used with other additives such as primary and/or secondary antioxidants, carbon center radicals, light stabilizers, and other functional stabilizers and fillers. The effectiveness of this product used in adhesives, block-copolymers and PUR products is exceptional.
