HiPer-tex™ B15 Direct Rovings consist of continuous glass filaments bonded into a single strand and wound onto a bobbin shape. HiPer-tex™ B15 Direct Roving are designed for weaving operations. Specifically developed chemical sizing of HiPer-tex™ B15 Direct Rovings allows fast wet-out in prepregs manufacturing and compression moulding. HiPer-tex™ B15 Direct Rovings also exhibits their maximum ballistic performances when used in phenolic or unsaturated polyester resin systems. HiPer-tex™ B15 Direct Rovings complies with military standard MIL-DTL-64154B Class B Code 2. HiPer-tex™ reinforcement is a non-added boron glass. It is classified as high strength, high modulus R-glass, as defined by the ASTM C-162, DIN 1259 and ISO 2078 standards. This glass formulation is designed for excellent mechanical properties and to offer significantly better thermal and corrosion resistance properties than E-glass.
