White fine powder, insoluble in water, soluble in hot alcohol, turpentine, benzene and other organic solvents. Case of acid decomposed into stearic acid corresponding zinc salts. Main Applications:
Main Applications:
- PVC processing, the main application is in the stabilization and lubrication of rigid PVC compounds. It is used in combination with calcium or other metal stearates to form primary stabilizers
- Polyethylene manufacture and processing, employed mainly as an acid acceptor and lubricant
- Polystyrene H.I. and expandable, lubricant and mould releaser
- Polyesters, used as lubricant and mould releaser
- Latex and rubber process, used as anti-blocking agent
