Composition:
VIBATAN PC ANTI GAMMA RAYS 03267 is a blend of a special new-generation antiox agent dispersed in polycarbonate, free from fillers, waxes or any other lubricants.
Application:
It is known that in some particular sectors, such as the medical or the packaging ones, it is necessary to make end-products aseptic: an effective way to eliminate the undesired bacteria is to undergo the end-product a gamma ray treatment. Unfortunately, these rays cause a colour change in the treated articles (i.e., yellowing).
VIBATAN PC ANTI GAMMA RAYS 03267 has been expressly developed to stabilize polycarbonate end-products and to avoid the colour change during gamma ray treatments. The maximum protection is granted if the polymer used in the production of the end-products does not contain phenolic antioxidants, since they are the main
cause of the colour change. On the contrary, the presence of the phenolic antioxidants may reduce or even cancel the effect of VIBATAN PC ANTI GAMMA RAYS 03267.
