Composition:
VIBATAN POM BACTERIOSTATIC 03194 is a composition of a special inorganic bacteriostatic agent dispersed in acetal resin, free from waxes and lubricants.
Application:
It is well known that plastics are subject to continuous attacks by microorganisms; the presence of bacteria can be due to bad hygienic conditions and concerning some plastic materials this presence is due to plasticizers used for relevant production. Growth and propagation of microorganisms lead to inconveniences such as bad smells, decolorations or stains, and also the functional characteristics of the end-product may be altered.
Plastics do not have any protection system by nature and cannot therefore prevent this contamination. The addition of VIBATAN POM BACTERIOSTATIC 03194 prevents and stops the growth and propagation of microorganisms and keeps its efficacy even after numerous washes of the end-product, thanks to the release of small dosages of active substance on each washing cycle.
VIBATAN POM BACTERIOSTATIC 03194 is suitable to be used in acetal resins processed according to the main production systems.
