- DBP is produced by esterifying Butanol and Phthalic Anhydride.

- a considerable low dosage is enough to reach satisfactory flexibility.
- a primary plasticizer for general purpose and often used as gelation agent.
- it is easy to migration and embrittle in low temperature and its solvent extractability is high.
