BLACK PEARLS® 1300
BLACK PEARLS 1300 specialty carbon black is a versatile and easily dispersable carbon black for coatings applications. The pigment imparts a relatively strong blue undertone and level of gloss compared to other Cabot carbon blacks. It delivers consistent performance and can be mixed using varying performance tiers of equipment technology.
Key Applications
BLACK PEARLS 1300 specialty carbon black is suitable for use in liquid and powder coatings requiring standard masstone and jetness, such as those used in automotive applications.
BLACK PEARLS 1300 specialty carbon black is relatively easy to disperse compared to other Cabot carbon blacks. The product should be considered when ease of dispersion is a key factor in product selection, such as when older dispersion equipment technology is in use.
A non-pelletized carbon black having similar morphology is available in an even more easily dispersible fluffy form as MONARCH® 1300 specialty carbon black.
