CARBOMAX®BIO S65LX is a new generation of patented masterbatch produced in pellet form and made of calcium carbonate and a blend of biodegradable and 100% bio-based polymers fulfilling the requirements of the European standard EN 13432.
CARBOMAX®BIO S65LX is certified OK Compost Industrial by TÜV.

The grade of calcium carbonate has been specially developed to be used in the bioplastics made from polyesters in order to promote the prevention of hydrolysis leading to degrade the mechanical properties of the products.
Therefore, it is possible to substantially increase the rate of calcium carbonate in the films made of bioplastics.
This calcium carbonate is renewable according to ISO 14021 and passes compostability test according to EN 13432 (2000), NF T51-800 (2015), ASTM D6400 (2012) & ISO 17088 (2012).

AREAS OF USE
CARBOMAX®BIO S65LX is mainly used for the extrusion of blown films (thickness > 10 µm), thermoforming and injection.
We recommend a percentage of use between 5 and 50%.
Typical applications are flexible and rigid packaging.
As CARBOMAX®BIO S65LX is very white, it can replace significantly TiO2 in white films. It may also be used as antiblock agent.
