RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLICATION
- STRUKTOL® ZB 49 is a recent addition to our line of processing and performance additives. It can be used as a physical peptizer and processing aid for natural rubber formulations. In synthetic and natural rubber blends that contain silica, with or without silane coupling agents, it improves downstream processing while enhancing physical properties. When used with silane coupling agents it appears to have a synergistic affect and improves the coupled properties.
- STRUKTOL® ZB 49 stabilizes vulcanization at high temperatures and reversion is reduced. Therefore, it is useful in injection and transfer molding, as well as for continuous vulcanization.
